Draupadī Meets Kṛṣṇa’s Queens — Narratives of the Lord’s Marriages and the Queens’ Bhakti
श्रुत्वैतत् सर्वतो भूपा आययुर्मत्पितु: पुरम् । सर्वास्त्रशस्त्रतत्त्वज्ञा: सोपाध्याया: सहस्रश: ॥ २० ॥
śrutvaitat sarvato bhū-pā āyayur mat-pituḥ puram sarvāstra-śastra-tattva-jñāḥ sopādhyāyāḥ sahasraśaḥ

They heard the news connected with the royal marriage arrangements and gathered in great numbers, arriving as powerful kṣatriyas skilled in weapons and accompanied by their instructors.

Worldly power and expertise attract crowds, but Bhagavatam frames such events within divine purpose—encouraging us to see social and political movements through the lens of dharma and devotion.
