Rājasūya: Agrapūjā for Kṛṣṇa and the Slaying (and Liberation) of Śiśupāla
तत्पादाववनिज्याप: शिरसा लोकपावनी: । सभार्य: सानुजामात्य: सकुटुम्बो वहन्मुदा ॥ २७ ॥ वासोभि: पीतकौषेयैर्भूषणैश्च महाधनै: । अर्हयित्वाश्रुपूर्णाक्षो नाशकत् समवेक्षितुम् ॥ २८ ॥
tat-pādāv avanijyāpaḥ śirasā loka-pāvanīḥ sa-bhāryaḥ sānujāmātyaḥ sa-kuṭumbo vahan mudā
Pagkaraan, pinarangalan niya ang Panginoon sa pag-aalay ng dilaw na sutla at mahahalagang alahas na hiyas; ngunit dahil sa luha sa kanyang mga mata, hindi niya Siya matingnan nang tuwiran.
This verse shows pāda-sevā—washing the Lord’s feet—and accepting that water (caraṇāmṛta) as supremely purifying, expressing reverence and surrender to Kṛṣṇa as the Lord of all.
Overwhelmed by devotion and gratitude, Yudhiṣṭhira’s eyes filled with tears; such emotion is described as a natural symptom of deep bhakti when one directly serves and beholds the Lord.
Serve with humility (pāda-sevā mood), honor the Lord with one’s best resources, and cultivate heartfelt gratitude—letting devotion become sincere rather than merely formal.
