Kṛṣṇa Comforts His Parents, Restores Ugrasena, Studies with Sāndīpani, and Returns the Guru’s Son
उवाच पितरावेत्य साग्रज: सात्वतर्षभ: । प्रश्रयावनत: प्रीणन्नम्ब तातेति सादरम् ॥ २ ॥
uvāca pitarāv etya sāgrajaḥ sātvatarṣabhaḥ praśrayāvanataḥ prīṇann amba tāteti sādaram
Si Panginoong Kṛṣṇa, ang pinakadakila sa mga Sātvata, ay lumapit sa Kanyang mga magulang kasama ang nakatatandang kapatid. Yumuko Siya nang mapagpakumbaba at, sa paggalang na pagtawag na “Mahal kong Ina” at “Mahal kong Ama,” ay pinasaya sila at nagsalita nang ganito.
This verse shows Śrī Kṛṣṇa Himself bowing with humility and affection, addressing His parents respectfully—illustrating that honoring parents is integral to dharma and devotional character.
After approaching them with Balarāma, Kṛṣṇa intentionally pleased them through humble conduct and loving address, reaffirming His filial duty and consoling their parental hearts.
Cultivate respectful speech, offer gratitude, and show genuine deference to parents, teachers, and elders—humility becomes a daily form of bhakti expressed through relationships.
