Gopī-Vipralambha: The Search for Kṛṣṇa and the Revelation of Divine Footprints

May isang gopī ang nagsabi, “Huwag kayong matakot sa hangin at ulan; ililigtas ko kayo.” At saka itinaas niya ang balabal sa ibabaw ng ulo gamit ang isang kamay.
Here a gopī enacts Lord Kṛṣṇa’s pastime of lifting Govardhana Hill.
In this verse (10.30.20), Kṛṣṇa directly assures the gopīs not to fear wind and rain, declaring that He has arranged their protection—showing the Lord’s personal shelter for surrendered devotees.
Within the rāsa-līlā setting, the gopīs are exposed to harsh weather; Kṛṣṇa calms their fear and actively provides shelter by lifting His garment, expressing intimate care and protection.
This shloka encourages trusting divine shelter while taking appropriate action—cultivating steady devotion and courage during life’s “storms,” remembering that sincere surrender invites the Lord’s guidance and protection.
