उदहृष्यन् वारिजानि सूर्योत्थाने कुमुद् विना । राज्ञा तु निर्भया लोका यथा दस्यून् विना नृप ॥ ४७ ॥
udahṛṣyan vārijāni sūryotthāne kumud vinā rājñā tu nirbhayā lokā yathā dasyūn vinā nṛpa
O Haring Parīkṣit, nang sumikat ang araw ng taglagas, masayang namukadkad ang mga lotus, maliban sa kumud na namumulaklak sa gabi; gayundin, sa harap ng makapangyarihang hari, ang mga tao’y walang takot, tanging mga magnanakaw ang nanginginig.
