sarvatrātiprasannāni salilāni tadābhavan jñāte sarvagate viṣṇau manāṃsīva sumedhasām
Sage Parashara (narrating to Maitreya)
The tranquil waters symbolize the restoration of cosmic harmony; when Vishnu is realized as all-pervading, disturbance subsides both in nature and in consciousness.
Parashara presents realization of Vishnu as transformative knowledge: it yields inner stillness in the wise, mirrored outwardly by the calming of the waters.
Vishnu is affirmed as sarvagata—present in all—so true knowledge of Him functions as the ground of peace, order, and spiritual clarity.
