अर्धनारीश्वरप्रादुर्भावः
Manifestation of Ardhanārīśvara and the Impulse for Procreative Creation

Suta Goswami (narrating the hymn of praise within the Vāyavīyasaṃhitā context to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Type: stotra
It proclaims Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord—whose immanent powers appear in specific places and forms, yet whose true nature transcends the entire cosmos; realizing this dissolves dependence on worldly “splendor” and turns the mind toward liberation.
“Localized manifestations” points to Shiva’s gracious accessibility through saguna worship—such as the Linga in temples and sacred sites—while “beyond the universe” affirms that the Linga also signifies the transcendent, nirguna reality of Shiva.
Recite this as a stotra during Linga-pūjā while mentally offering all personal pride and worldly achievements into Shiva; pair it with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to contemplate Shiva as both immanent and transcendent.
