Manifestation of Śiva’s Saṃhāra-Form
yathā jalaṃ jale kṣiptaṃ kṣīre kṣīraṃ ghṛte ghṛtam | eka eva tadā viṣṇuḥ śive līno na cānyathā

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It teaches the doctrine of laya (absorption): in the highest spiritual state, all separateness dissolves, and even the divine function of Viṣṇu is shown as finding its ultimate repose in Śiva, the supreme Pati (Lord) who grants liberation.
The Linga is the emblem of Śiva’s all-pervading reality; worshiping Saguna Śiva (with form) trains the mind toward one-pointed devotion until the devotee’s awareness becomes ‘one taste’ with Śiva—like milk into milk—culminating in inner absorption.
Practice steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with focused contemplation on dissolving the sense of separateness into Śiva; support it with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as aids to remembrance and renunciation.
