It teaches that the ancestral realm is sustained through sacred order: offerings made with faith reach the Pitṛs through Kavyavāha (Agni), reinforcing dharma, gratitude to lineage, and inner purification—supports on the Shaiva path toward grace (anugraha).
In Shaiva practice, Linga-worship is integrated with Vedic duties; honoring Pitṛs through Agni and śrāddha removes obstacles and steadies the devotee’s life, making the mind fit for Saguna Shiva worship and for receiving Shiva’s blessings.
Perform Pitṛ-tarpaṇa/śrāddha with proper sankalpa, offering through Agni (homa) or water-libations as prescribed; inwardly, cultivate remembrance and gratitude while repeating Shiva’s name (e.g., the Panchākṣarī) to sanctify the act.
