Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (saving grace): through His compassionate glance and acceptance (even by naming), the soul is uplifted and made fit to receive divine boons—an essential Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on the Lord’s grace as the liberating power.
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva’s accessible, personal compassion—He looks upon the devotee and bestows blessings. In Linga worship, this same grace is sought through devotion, abhisheka, and reverent remembrance, inviting Śiva’s benevolent presence.
A practical takeaway is bhakti-centered japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with humility, along with simple Linga worship (water/abhisheka) and Tripuṇḍra-bhasma reverence, praying for Śiva’s compassionate glance (kṛpā-dṛṣṭi).
