Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Jyotirlinga: Rāmeśvara
Sthala Purana: Rāmeśvara’s mahimā is declared ‘adbhuta’ and ‘atula’: it grants both bhukti (worldly flourishing) and mukti (liberation), and fulfills devotees’ aims—classic jyotirliṅga-phalaśruti.
Significance: Promises a twofold fruit: dharmic prosperity and final release; establishes Rāmeśvara as a universal refuge for devotees seeking purification, merit, and liberation.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Offering: naivedya
It declares Rāmeśvara’s māhātmya as “incomparable,” emphasizing a Shaiva Siddhanta theme: devotion to Śiva as Pati grants both bhukti (rightly ordered worldly welfare) and mukti (release from pāśa/bondage) through divine grace.
Rāmeśvara is praised as a Jyotirlinga—Śiva’s accessible saguna manifestation for worship. The verse frames Linga-upāsanā as a direct means to receive blessings (kāma-siddhi) and attain liberation, showing the Linga as a doorway to the Supreme.
The takeaway is bhakti-centered Jyotirlinga worship: perform Linga-abhisheka with mantra-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and prayer for both dharmic prosperity and final moksha.
