सीतादुःखसमाविष्टाविलपन्तीदमब्रवीत् ।।6.93.48।।यथायंमामभिक्रुद्धःसमभिद्रवतिस्वयम् ।वधिष्यतिसनाथांमामनाथामिवदुर्मतिः ।।6.93.49।।
bahuśaś codayāmāsa bhartāraṃ mām anuvratām |
bhāryā bhava ramasveti pratyākhyāto dhruvaṃ mayā |
so 'yaṃ mām anupasthāne vyaktaṃ nairāśyam āgataḥ |
krodhamohasamāviṣṭo nihantuṃ māṃ samudyataḥ ||
“เขาเกลี้ยกล่อมข้าซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า—ทั้งที่ข้าซื่อสัตย์ต่อพระสวามี—ว่า ‘จงเป็นภรรยาของเรา จงเสพสุขกับเรา’ แต่ข้าปฏิเสธอย่างแน่วแน่ บัดนี้เพราะข้าไม่ยอมตาม เขาจึงตกอยู่ในความสิ้นหวังอย่างชัดเจน ถูกครอบงำด้วยโทสะและความหลง พร้อมจะฆ่าข้า”
