इन्द्रजित्–लक्ष्मणयोर् घोरः शरयुद्धः
Indrajit and Lakshmana’s Fierce Exchange of Arrows
तयोरथमहान् कालोव्यतीयाद्युध्यमानयोः ।।6.89.41।।न च तौयुद्धवैमुख्यंश्रमंवाप्युपजग्मतुः ।
tayor atha mahān kālo vyatīyād yudhyamānayoḥ | na ca tau yuddha-vaimukhyaṁ śramaṁ vāpy upajagmatuḥ || 6.89.41 ||
กาลเวลายาวนานล่วงไปขณะทั้งสองรบพุ่งกัน; แต่ทั้งคู่มิได้หันหลังให้ศึก และมิได้ยอมจำนนต่อความอ่อนล้า
He (Indrajith), enraged and eyes turned red, advancing towards Lakshmana, and approaching him again spoke in this way harshly.
Perseverance in one’s appointed duty: dharma is sustained not by impulse but by sustained commitment and discipline.
The fight continues for a long duration with neither combatant yielding or tiring.
