अकम्पनवधः — The Slaying of Akampana
Hanuman’s rout of the Rakshasa host
तमापतन्तंसङ्कृद्धंराक्षसानांभयावहम् ।ददर्शाकम्पनोवीरश्चुक्षोधचननादच ।।6.56.25।।
tam āpatantaṃ saṅkruddhaṃ rākṣasānāṃ bhayāvaham |
dadarśa akampano vīraś cukṣodha ca nanāda ca ||6.56.25||
อากัมปนะผู้กล้าเห็นเขาพุ่งเข้ามาด้วยโทสะ เป็นความหวาดผวาแก่เหล่ายักษ์ เขาเองก็เดือดดาลและคำรามกึกก้อง
The heroic Akampana saw Hanuman coming towards him very angry. Fearing Hanuman, the Rakshasas ran roaring in fear.
It contrasts reactions to righteous force: the unrighteous side often answers with rage and intimidation. Dharma calls for courage with restraint, not anger that escalates harm.
As Hanumān charges, Akampana confronts him—angered and roaring—signaling the duel’s intensification.
Martial boldness (though mixed with krodha), showing a warrior’s refusal to retreat even when fear spreads among his troops.
