अकम्पनवधः — The Slaying of Akampana
Hanuman’s rout of the Rakshasa host
ततस्तमभिदुद्रावराक्षसेन्द्रमकम्पनम् ।पुराहिनमुचिंसङ् ख्येवज्रेणेवपुरन्दरः ।।6.56.17।।
tatas tam abhidudrāva rākṣasendram akampanam |
purā hinamuciṃ saṅkhye vajreṇeva purandaraḥ ||6.56.17||
แล้วหนุมานก็พุ่งเข้าหาอคัมปนะ ผู้เป็นจอมแห่งรากษส ประหนึ่งพระอินทร์ผู้พิชิตปุระ (ปุรันทร) เคยฟาดนามุจิในศึกด้วยวัชระ
Then he went to Akampana and tormented him just as Indra did with his thunderbolt to Namuchi.
It highlights yuddha-dharma: decisive action against adharma when protecting the righteous cause. Hanumān’s charge is not cruelty but a duty-bound assault in a just war.
In the battlefield at Laṅkā, Hanumān directly charges Akampana, likened to Indra’s ancient victory over Namuci.
Courage and righteous resolve (dhairya and vīrya) in confronting a powerful enemy without hesitation.
