ityuktvā paruṣaṃ vākyaṃ rāvaṇaṃ rāvaṇānujaḥ | ājagāma muhūrtena yatra rāmaḥ salakṣmaṇaḥ ||

ครั้นกล่าวถ้อยคำอันแข็งกร้าวนั้นแก่ทศกัณฐ์แล้ว วิภีษณะน้องชายของทศกัณฐ์ก็ไปถึงโดยฉับพลัน ณ ที่ซึ่งพระรามประทับ โดยมีพระลักษมณ์เคียงข้าง
