Sipping water three times and looking at Aditya, the valiant Rama getting purified, with devotion chanted the supreme with delight. Then he took up his bow, fixing his eyes at Ravana, and advanced for war with an all-out effort determined to destroy Ravana.
Dharma is alignment with cosmic order: honoring the sustaining power (the Sun) symbolizes respecting the source of life, clarity, and right judgment.
Agastya directs Rāma to worship the rising Sun as part of the Āditya-hṛdaya practice before engaging Rāvaṇa.
Reverence and preparation: a warrior’s duty is strengthened by humility and ritual readiness.
