सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तस्यास्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा ह्यहमप्यब्रुवं वचः।।।।देवि रामस्य भर्तुस्ते सहायो भीमविक्रमः।सुग्रीवो नाम विक्रान्तो वानरेन्द्रो महाबलः।।।।
tasyās tadvacanaṃ śrutvā hy aham apy abruvaṃ vacaḥ | devi rāmasya bhartus te sahāyo bhīmavikramaḥ | sugrīvo nāma vikrānto vānarendro mahābalaḥ ||
ครั้นได้ฟังถ้อยคำของพระนางแล้ว ข้าพเจ้าก็ตอบว่า “ข้าแต่เทวี พระสวามีของพระนางคือพระราม มีสหายผู้ช่วยเหลือผู้หนึ่ง—ทรงพลังและองอาจน่าเกรงขาม—นามว่าสุครีวะ ผู้เป็นราชาแห่งวานรผู้มีกำลังยิ่งใหญ่”
