Hanuman’s Self-Assertion of Power and Ascent of Mount Mahendra
उदयात्प्रस्थितं वापि ज्वलन्तं रश्मिमालिनम्।अनस्तमितमादित्यमभिगन्तुं समुत्सहे।।4.67.15।।ततो भूमिमसंस्पृश्य पुनरागन्तुमुत्सहे।प्रवेगेनैव महता भीमेन प्लवगर्षभाः।।4.67.16।।
tato bhūmim asaṃspṛśya punar āgantum utsahe |
pravegenaiva mahatā bhīmena plavagarṣabhāḥ || 4.67.16 ||
แล้วต่อมา โอ้โคอุสภะแห่งวานร ข้าพเจ้าสามารถหวนกลับมาอีกครั้งโดยมิแตะต้องพื้นพิภพ ด้วยความเร็วอันยิ่งใหญ่และน่าเกรงขามเช่นเดิม
'If I rise up, I can overtake all those creatures flying in the sky and from there I can stir up the ocean and tear up the earth easily.
Dharma is capability placed in service: Hanumān presents his powers not for display but to reassure companions and enable the righteous quest for Sītā.
Hanumān is describing the extent of his speed and control as the search party prepares for the decisive leap across the ocean.
Saṃyama (control) and utsāha (energetic resolve): the ability to act with precision and return swiftly, staying focused on the mission.
