Rama’s Justification to Vali on Rājadharma

न त्वात्मानमहं शोचे न तारां न च बान्धवान्।यथा पुत्रं गुणज्येष्ठमङ्गदं कनकाङ्गदम् ।।

na tv ātmānam ahaṃ śoce na tārāṃ na ca bāndhavān | yathā putraṃ guṇajyeṣṭham aṅgadaṃ kanakāṅgadam ||

ข้าพเจ้าไม่โศกเพื่อตนเอง ไม่โศกเพื่อตารา และไม่โศกเพื่อญาติทั้งหลายเท่ากับที่ข้าพเจ้าโศกเพื่อลูกชายของข้าพเจ้า คืออังคทะ ผู้เลิศด้วยคุณธรรม ประดับพาหุรัดทองคำ
