Rama and Lakshmana offered salutations with folded hands in memory of those great sages, great souls.
Dharma is expressed as maryādā (proper conduct): even while engaged in urgent aims, Rāma maintains reverence for spiritual authority and remembers sages with respect.
After leaving the sages’ region, Rāma formally offers salutations—physically and mentally—before proceeding onward with Lakṣmaṇa.
Saṃskāra and humility: Rāma’s disciplined habit of honoring the righteous and spiritually accomplished.
