आसाद्य तौ नरव्याघ्रौ दर्यास्तस्याविदूरतः।ददृशाते महारूपां राक्षसीं विकृताननाम्।।।।

āsādya tau naravyāghrau daryās tasyā avidūrataḥ |

dadṛśāte mahārūpāṃ rākṣasīṃ vikṛtānanām ||

ครั้นถึงใกล้ถ้ำนั้น บุรุษผู้กล้าดุจพยัคฆ์ทั้งสองก็ทอดพระเนตรเห็นไม่ไกลนัก นางรากษสีร่างมหึมา ผู้มีใบหน้าบิดเบี้ยวพิกลน่าหวาดกลัว
