गोदावरीतटे सीतान्वेषणम्

The Search for Sītā at the Godāvarī

निराशस्तु तया नद्या सीताया दर्शने कृतः।उवाच रामस्सौमित्रिं सीतादर्शनकर्शितः।।।।

nirāśas tu tayā nadyā sītāyā darśane kṛtaḥ | uvāca rāmaḥ saumitriṃ sītādarśanakarśitaḥ ||

เมื่อแม่น้ำนั้นมิได้ให้วี่แววใดเกี่ยวกับการได้เห็นสีตา พระรามก็สิ้นหวัง และด้วยความทุกข์ระทมจากการมิได้ประจักษ์สีตา พระองค์จึงตรัสกับสุมิตรี (ลักษมณ์)
