मारीचोपदेशः — Maricha’s Counsel to Ravana
On Rama’s Dharma and the Peril of Abduction
वञ्चितं पितरं दृष्ट्वा कैकेय्या सत्यवादिनम्।करिष्यामीति धर्मात्मा तात प्रव्रजितो वनम्।।।।
vañcitaṃ pitaraṃ dṛṣṭvā kaikeyyā satyavādinam | kariṣyāmīti dharmātmā tāta pravrajito vanam ||
โอ้ผู้เป็นที่รัก ครั้นเห็นพระบิดาผู้สัตย์จริงถูกไกเกยีหลอกลวง พระรามผู้ทรงธรรมจึงตรัสว่า “เราจักกระทำให้สำเร็จ” แล้วเสด็จออกสู่ป่า
O dear, seeing that his truthful father was going to be deceived by Kaikeyi, righteous Rama himself offered to fulfil the promise of his father and came away to the forest.
Satya and dharma are upheld through sacrifice: Rāma chooses to protect his father’s truth/word, even at personal cost.
Mārīca recounts Rāma’s exile decision to warn/educate Rāvaṇa about Rāma’s character.
Truth-commitment and filial responsibility—Rāma’s willingness to renounce comfort to preserve integrity.
