vāsudeva uvāca | mama vākyaṃ tu kartavyaṃ tava snehādbravīmyaham | nityaṃ yajñarato bhūtvā prayāge vigatajvaraḥ
Vāsudeva (Vishnu/Krishna)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
Type: tirtha
Sandhi Resolution Notes:
It highlights Prayāga as a spiritually potent tīrtha where religious practice (yajña/worship) is linked with relief from suffering and affliction.
By framing the instruction as spoken “out of affection” and urging steady devotion in sacred practice, it presents disciplined worship as an expression of loving commitment to the divine.
One should heed wise, benevolent counsel and maintain consistent righteous practice; such steadiness is portrayed as bringing inner well-being (“freedom from fever/torment”).
