FAQs

It portrays Janārdana (Viṣṇu) as the object of worship even for the highest divine and cosmic orders—Brahmā, the gods, and great sages—highlighting Viṣṇu-centric devotion (bhakti) and reverence.

They are major classes of Vedic deities: the Ādityas are solar/cosmic gods, the Vasus are elemental/supporting deities, and the Rudras are fierce divine forms associated with Rudra/Śiva—collectively representing the divine hierarchy.

By explicitly stating that multiple divine groups and ascetic sages worship Janārdana, the verse frames Viṣṇu as the supreme focus of veneration, aligning with Vaishnava devotional emphasis common in many Padma Purana passages.
