Concept: Grace not only multiplies spiritual effort but also brings divine nearness—God ‘dwells’ where sincere sādhana is performed.

Application: Create a daily ‘āśrama’ at home: keep a clean worship space, maintain regular japa/pujā, and cultivate hospitality and purity—invite the divine to ‘stay’ through consistency.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Type: forest

FAQs

It teaches that austerity (tapas) is strengthened through divine grace, and that spiritual progress is supported by the presence and companionship of an exalted guide or benefactor within the hermitage.

The verse explicitly states that the increase of tapas happens “by my grace” (matprasādāt), presenting spiritual effort and divine favor as complementary rather than opposed.

It highlights the value of sacred company (satsaṅga) and committed guidance—suggesting that steadfast practice flourishes when supported by a sanctified environment and a protective, benevolent presence.
