Concept: The world’s structures (mountains, oceans, species) are not random but arise from ordered correspondences within the cosmic principle; creation is organic and purposive.

Application: See nature as sacred and interconnected; treat mountains, seas, and living beings with reverence—supporting dharmic ecology and tīrtha etiquette (cleanliness, non-harm).

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A visionary ‘cosmic anatomy’ scene shows a translucent primordial being spanning the horizon; from his pores arise shimmering egg-like seeds of life, while a luminous membrane unfurls into mountain ranges. Beneath, gestational waters pour outward and become the oceans, with swirling currents forming the first boundaries of continents.","primary_figures":["Hiraṇyagarbha/Brahmā-function (as cosmic being)","Personified Oceans (Samudras)","Personified Mountains (Mahīdharas)"],"setting":"Mythic cosmic expanse where body, water, and land co-arise; no single horizon, layered planes","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["molten gold","sea-green","slate blue","opal white","earth umber"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: a grand central cosmic figure rendered with gold-leaf highlights; from the figure’s body emanate stylized mountains and oceans in symmetrical bands; embossed gold for the membrane and wave crests, jewel-toned reds/greens framing the cosmogenesis like a temple panel.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: lyrical landscape where mountains bloom like folds of silk from a luminous figure; delicate wave patterns and fine stippling for ‘sweat-born’ eggs; cool blues and soft gold washes, refined naturalism with mythic symbolism.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlined cosmic figure with patterned skin; mountains as repeating triangular motifs emerging from a red-yellow membrane band; oceans as rhythmic blue-green curls, strong symmetry and temple-mural gravitas.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central translucent figure surrounded by concentric rings of waves and mountain motifs; floral borders and lotus medallions; deep blue cloth with gold and white detailing, intricate repetitive patterns suggesting countless eggs and oceans."}

FAQs

It presents a mythic-cosmic origin: mountains arise from the jarāyu (womb-membrane), while oceans arise from garbhodaka (gestational waters).

“Svedaja” refers to beings or forms said to originate from sweat/heat-moisture; here it poetically describes a category of creation emerging as “eggs” from the cosmic source.

The verse primarily serves a cosmological function—depicting the universe as emerging from a single महानात्मन् (great-souled source)—encouraging contemplation of unity behind diverse forms.
