Concept: Dharma is yuga-sensitive: tapas is lauded in Kṛta, jñāna in Tretā; purification leads to heavenly honor.

Application: Choose a discipline suited to one’s capacity and era: cultivate self-restraint (tapas) and study/discernment (jñāna) while keeping conduct pure; treat spiritual life as progressive purification rather than mere status-seeking.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A cosmic tableau of the four yugas as distinct bands across the sky: in the Kṛta band, sages sit in deep austerity; in the Tretā band, a teacher transmits luminous knowledge. Above them, Svargaloka shines like a jeweled city, welcoming a purified soul crowned with garlands.","primary_figures":["Purified devotee/soul (symbolic)","Rishis performing tapas","Guru teaching jñāna","Devas (symbolic guardians of Svarga)"],"setting":"Mythic cosmic panorama with layered yuga-scenes and a radiant celestial city in the upper register","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["sapphire blue","lotus pink","gold leaf","pearl white","emerald green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: a tiered cosmic composition showing Kṛta-yuga sages in tapas at the bottom, Tretā-yuga guru and disciples with palm-leaf manuscripts in the middle, and Svargaloka as a gold-leaf jeweled palace at the top; thick gold outlines, gem-studded ornaments, rich crimson and emerald textiles, traditional South Indian iconographic symmetry, ornate arches and lotuses.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: lyrical multi-panel yuga landscape with delicate brushwork—forest hermitage for Kṛta tapas, a serene āśrama classroom for Tretā jñāna, and a distant shimmering Svarga city in cool blues; refined faces, soft gradients, Himalayan-like hills, fine floral borders.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold black outlines and natural pigments depicting sages in austere postures and a radiant celestial realm above; stylized eyes, red-yellow-green palette, temple-wall aesthetic with lotus medallions and cloud bands separating yugas.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: a devotional cosmic cloth with lotus borders and peacock motifs; yuga-scenes arranged like mandala petals around a central radiant sky, with Svargaloka rendered in deep blues and gold; intricate floral filigree, symmetrical composition, Nathdwara-inspired ornamentation."}

FAQs

It states that freedom from all sins leads to honor and exalted status in Svarga (the heavenly realm), indicating a karmic reward framework.

It presents a yuga-dharma mapping: austerity (tapas) is especially praised in the Kṛta Yuga, while knowledge (jñāna) is especially praised in the Tretā Yuga.

Cultivate purity of conduct (freedom from sin) and adopt the discipline most aligned with one’s spiritual context—here exemplified by tapas and jñāna as honored paths.
