FAQs

The verse praises giving practical supports of life—grain (food), clothing, service/attendants, and household furnishings such as seats and related necessities.

It states that Lakṣmī—symbolizing prosperity, wellbeing, and stable fortune—does not abandon the giver.

It emphasizes dharmic generosity: supporting worthy recipients (here, a foremost brāhmaṇa) through tangible, sustaining gifts is presented as a cause of lasting prosperity and social-religious harmony.
