FAQs

The verse praises an incomparable pair (“those two”), but without the surrounding verses the identities cannot be fixed with certainty. In Purāṇic narration, such phrasing often points to a uniquely exalted divine or sacred pair introduced in the immediately preceding context.

It asserts totality: across all realms (heaven, earth, netherworld) and across all categories of existence (mobile and immobile), nothing equals the praised subjects—an idiom for unsurpassed excellence.

It models reverence for what is held to be supremely worthy: recognizing true greatness and responding with collective joy and gratitude, as exemplified by the gods.
