The Account of Women

Householder Ethics, Fault, Merit, and Govinda-Nāma as Purification

na strīṇāmapriyaḥ kaścitpriyo vāpi na vidyate | gāvastṛṇamivāraṇye prārthayaṃti navaṃnavam

FAQs

It comments on shifting likes and dislikes and the recurring pull toward novelty, using cows continually searching for fresh grass as an analogy.

No. In this isolated excerpt, it functions as a general moral/psychological observation rather than a sectarian or pilgrimage-related teaching.

It cautions against basing conduct on fluctuating preferences and encourages steadiness—recognizing that desire can repeatedly seek “the new,” which can destabilize relationships and judgment.
