The Destruction of Dakṣa’s Sacrifice

तस्य शोकाभिभूतस्य नारदो भवसंन्निधौ । सा ते सती या देवेश भार्या प्राणसमामृता

เมื่อเขาถูกความโศกครอบงำ นารทได้กล่าวต่อหน้าภวะ (พระศิวะ) ว่า “ข้าแต่จอมแห่งเทพทั้งหลาย สตีผู้นั้น—ชายาของพระองค์—เป็นที่รักยิ่งประหนึ่งชีวิตของพระองค์เอง”
