Narrator (contextual; not explicitly marked in the given verse)

Concept: Sacrifice is animated by sound (Sāma), oversight (Brahmā as Brahman-priest/authority), and devotion-infused wisdom (Nārada).

Application: Let ‘sound and intention’ guide action: keep speech truthful, chant/recite what elevates the mind, and invite wise counsel into important undertakings.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: forest

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Bṛhaspati, radiant as the deva-guru, chants Sāma melodies with a veena-like resonance implied in posture, while Brahmā sits as solemn overseer near the northern side of the altar. Nārada stands slightly apart, attentive and discerning, as streams of ghee arc into twin fires and sparks rise like tiny stars.","primary_figures":["Bṛhaspati (Udgātṛ)","Brahmā","Nārada","ṛtviks","Agni (personified in flame)"],"setting":"Sacrificial arena with multiple fire-pits, soma vessels, and a gathered circle of sages and devas.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["flame gold","copper orange","sandalwood beige","sky blue","smoke violet"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Bṛhaspati chanting as Udgātṛ with gold leaf aura, Brahmā enthroned with ornate crown, Nārada holding vīṇā, blazing yajña fires rendered with thick gold highlights, rich red-green drapery, and jewel-like ritual vessels in symmetrical arrangement.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: refined figures of Bṛhaspati, Brahmā, and Nārada around a small but vivid fire altar; delicate smoke trails, soft blue sky wash, lyrical natural setting, and intricate detailing of ladles and vessels.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: stylized triad—Bṛhaspati, Brahmā, Nārada—around a geometric altar; bold outlines, flat pigments, prominent eyes, and rhythmic flame patterns; temple-wall composition emphasizing sacred sound and order.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central yajña fire as a lotus-flame mandala, Nārada with vīṇā at one side, ornate floral borders, peacocks and hanging lamps, deep blue ground with gold accents, and repeating motifs of āhuti streams."}

FAQs

The Udgātṛ is the priest who chants Sāma Veda hymns during a Vedic sacrifice; here Bṛhaspati is described as serving in that role.

It refers to the act of offering oblations (homa) into the consecrated sacrificial fires—i.e., the yajña is actively underway.

It highlights the sanctity of Vedic yajña and the participation of revered sages/deities, presenting ritual order as part of the cosmic and social framework described in creation-focused sections.
