FAQs

It states that performing śrāddha is considered obligatory when one encounters (sees) a dead body, emphasizing timely ancestral rites.

The Pitṛs are ancestral beings/forefathers; the verse says they seek vṛddhi (increase of welfare/merit) and they also desire food offerings given through śrāddha.

It underscores responsibility toward ancestors and the importance of sustaining familial and ritual obligations through offerings and remembrance.
