Concept: Ritual acts performed in a specially sanctified place yield limitless fruit when done with single-pointed devotion (here framed as Brahmā-bhakti).

Application: When performing worship or mantra-japa, cultivate intentional devotion rather than mechanical action; choose sacred settings (temple, tīrtha) and align practice with the deity’s mood and purpose.

FAQs

It praises ritual acts (pūjā, japa, homa) but grounds their highest, limitless result in a devotional inner orientation—being absorbed in devotion to Brahmā.

Those whose minds are devoted (rata-ātmanām) to brahma-bhakti—devotion toward Brahmā—are said to receive an “ananta” (infinite) result from acts done here.

Outer religious actions gain their fullest power when paired with sincere devotion; inner commitment is presented as the multiplier of spiritual merit.
