FAQs

“Vainateya” means “descendant of Vinatā” and is commonly used for Garuḍa; in a broader sense it can indicate Garuḍa’s lineage/associates. Here it groups several named figures connected with Garuḍa as being present and arranged.

Tārkṣya is widely attested as an epithet/name of Garuḍa. Purāṇic lists may still place both to emphasize titles, aspects, or associated figures within the Garuḍa tradition.

It serves as a roster-style statement: specific Garuḍa-associated beings are named and described as “vyavasthitāḥ,” i.e., positioned/standing ready—signaling preparation or orderly presence within the ongoing cosmological narrative.
