FAQs

Nandin (Nandī) is the divine attendant and chief gaṇa associated with Śiva, often depicted as a trusted messenger and gatekeeper who conveys summons and instructions.

The gods instruct Nandin to bring someone into their presence; simultaneously, the gods themselves are described as being summoned by Nandin, indicating a quick sequence of calls and arrivals within the narrative.

The verse highlights orderly communication and duty in divine administration—messages are delivered through trusted agents, emphasizing responsibility, promptness, and respect for proper protocol.
