ऋषय ऊचुः । शप्ता गंधर्वपुत्रेण सुशंखेन महात्मना । तस्य शापात्कथं जाता किं किं कर्म कृतं तया

ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | śaptā gaṃdharvaputreṇa suśaṃkhena mahātmanā | tasya śāpātkathaṃ jātā kiṃ kiṃ karma kṛtaṃ tayā

เหล่าฤๅษีกล่าวว่า “นางถูกสาปโดยสุศังคะผู้มหาตมา บุตรแห่งคันธรรพะ ด้วยคำสาปของเขา นางจึงมาอยู่ในสภาพนี้ได้อย่างไร และนางได้กระทำกรรมสิ่งใดบ้าง”
