ekena mahiṣaṃ kruddho vivyādhorasi pattriṇā jambhaṃ dvādaśabhistīkṣṇaiḥ sarvāṃścaikaikaśo 'ṣṭabhiḥ //

ด้วยความพิโรธ เขาแทงมหิษะที่อกด้วยศรมีขนเพียงดอกเดียว; ชัมภะถูกยิงด้วยศรคมสิบสองดอก และผู้อื่นทั้งหมดถูกยิงทีละคน คนละแปดดอก
