Matsya Purana — Śrāddha Procedure: Types

यज्ञोपवीती निर्वर्त्य ततः पर्युक्षणादिकम् प्राचीनावीतिना कार्यम् अतः सर्वं विजानता //

yajñopavītī nirvartya tataḥ paryukṣaṇādikam prācīnāvītinā kāryam ataḥ sarvaṃ vijānatā //

เมื่อจัดสายศักดิ์สิทธิ์ให้อยู่ในท่า ‘ยัชโญปวีต’ แล้ว จึงทำการประพรม (ปริยุกษณะ) เป็นต้น; แต่กิจทั้งหมดนั้นพึงทำในท่า ‘ปราจีนาวีต’ ดังที่ผู้รู้พิธีทั้งมวลเข้าใจ
