Educational Q&A

The verse highlights discernment joined with prompt benevolence: when confronted with an extraordinary person, one should investigate respectfully, yet ensure that rightful wishes are fulfilled without needless delay—an ethic of honoring merit and acting swiftly in generosity.

The speaker describes someone seeing a remarkable youth and immediately suspecting he may be a celestial being—either the Gandharva-king or Indra. He orders others to identify the youth and to grant him whatever he desires at once.
