वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharma as fidelity to one’s pledged terms: once the stipulated period is truly completed, one may step forward openly and pursue rightful aims without violating the vow.
After completing the full thirteenth year, the five Pāṇḍavas collectively go to Upaplavya, a city associated with King Virāṭa, and begin residing there—signaling the end of concealment and the start of the next phase of their mission.
