एषा पद्मपलाशाक्षी सुमध्या चारुहासिनी । सैरन्ध्री द्रौपदी राजन् यस्यार्थे कीचका हता:,राजन! यह विकसित कमलदलके समान विशाल नेत्र, सुन्दर कटिप्रदेश और मनोहर मुसकानवाली सैरन्ध्री ही महारानी द्रौपदी है, जिसके धर्मकी रक्षाके लिये कीचकोंका वध किया गया

eṣā padmapalāśākṣī sumadhyā cāruhāsinī |
sairandhrī draupadī rājan yasyārthe kīcakā hatāḥ ||
อรชุนกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา นางสไรรันธรีผู้นี้—ดวงตาดุจกลีบบัว เอวอรชร และยิ้มละมุน—แท้จริงคือพระราชินีเทราปที เพื่อพิทักษ์ธรรมและเกียรติยศของนาง เหล่ากีจกะจึงถูกสังหาร”
