Arjuna–Duryodhana Engagement and Admonition

सोउ्द्य कर्ण मया सार्ध व्यवहृत्य महामृधे । ज्ञास्यस्यबलमात्मानं न चान्यानवमंस्यसे,कर्ण! आज इस महासंग्राममें मेरे साथ भिड़कर तू अपनेको भलीभाँति निर्बल समझ लेगा और फिर कभी दूसरोंका अपमान नहीं करेगा

saudyā karṇa mayā sārdhaṁ vyavahṛtya mahāmṛdhe | jñāsyasy abalam ātmānaṁ na cānyān avamaṁsyase, karṇa ||

“กรรณะเอ๋ย วันนี้ในมหาศึกนี้ จงเข้าประจัญกับเรา เมื่อได้รบกับเราแล้ว เจ้าจักรู้ชัดถึงกำลังของตน และจักไม่ดูหมิ่นผู้อื่นอีกต่อไป”
