भीष्म उवाच
Bhīṣma emphasizes collective discipline and unity in a crisis: internal rivalry and faction-making are unethical and strategically ruinous when facing a formidable opponent. He also underscores reverence for the lineage of learning—supreme weapons and sacred knowledge are preserved through teachers—so personal ego should yield to shared duty.
In the Virāṭa episode, Arjuna reveals himself and confronts the Kaurava force. Bhīṣma urges the Kauravas to stop infighting, forgive personal slights, and fight together against Arjuna, whom he likens to Indra in prowess.
