Śamī-vṛkṣe śastra-nidhāna and Entry into Virāṭa’s Capital (शमीवृक्षे शस्त्रनिधानम्)
यत्र चापश्यत स वै तिरोवर्षाणि वर्षति । तत्र तानि ट्ढै: पाशै: सुगाढं पर्यबन्धत,क्योंकि उन्होंने देखा, वहाँ मेघ तिरछी वृष्टि करता है (जिससे खोंखलोंमें पानी नहीं पड़ता)। उन्हींमें उन आयुधोंको रखकर मजबूत रस्सियोंसे उन्हें अच्छी तरह बाँध दिया
yatra cāpaśyat sa vai tirovarṣāṇi varṣati | tatra tāni dṛḍhaiḥ pāśaiḥ sugāḍhaṃ paryabandhat |
เมื่อเขาเห็นตำแหน่งที่ฝนตกเฉียง (จนน้ำไม่ไหลเข้าโพรง) เขาก็วางอาวุธไว้ตรงนั้น และใช้เชือกแข็งแรงผูกมัดไว้แน่นหนา
