Arjuna–Karna Engagement in the Cattle-Raid Aftermath

एक: किरातरूपेण स्थितं रुद्रमयोधयत्‌ । अस्मिन्नेव वने पार्थो हृतां कृष्णामवाजयत्‌,अर्जुनने अकेले ही किरातरूपमें सामने आये हुए भगवान्‌ शंकरसे युद्ध किया। इसी वनवासकी घटना है, जब जयद्रथने द्रौयदीका अपहरण किया था, उस समय भी अर्जुनने अकेले ही उसे हराकर द्रौपदीको उसके हाथसे छुड़ाया था

ekaḥ kirātarūpeṇa sthitaṁ rudram ayodhayat | asminn eva vane pārtho hṛtāṁ kṛṣṇām avājayat |

กฤปะกล่าวว่า “อรชุนเพียงลำพังได้รบกับรุทระ (พระศิวะ) ผู้ปรากฏกายในรูปกิราตะ—พรานภูผา และในป่าแห่งนี้เอง เมื่อกฤษณา (เทราปที) ถูกลักพาไป ปารถะก็ปราบผู้ลักพาและชิงนางกลับคืนมาได้”
