श्रुता मे तस्य वीरस्य केवला नामहेतव: । तत्‌ सर्व यदि मे ब्रूया: श्रद्दध्यां सर्वमेव ते

Transliteration

śrutā me tasya vīrasya kevalā nāmahetavaḥ | tat sarva yadi me brūyāḥ śraddadhyāṁ sarvam eva te ||

Translation

อุตตรากล่าวว่า “ข้าพเจ้าได้ยินเพียงนามและเหตุแห่งนาม อันเป็นเหตุแห่งเกียรติยศของวีรบุรุษผู้นั้นเท่านั้น หากท่านจะเล่าเรื่องราวทั้งหมดให้ข้าพเจ้าฟัง ข้าพเจ้าจะเชื่อถือถ้อยคำของท่านทุกประการ”
