अथ वै धारतराष्ट्रेण प्रयुक्ता ये बहिश्नरा: | मृगयित्वा बहून्‌ ग्रामान्‌ राष्ट्रीणि नगराणि च

Transliteration

atha vai dhārtarāṣṭreṇa prayuktā ye bahiścarāḥ | mṛgayitvā bahūn grāmān rāṣṭrīṇi nagarāṇi ca |

Translation

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— ครั้นแล้วสายลับผู้เที่ยวสืบข่าว ซึ่งบุตรแห่งธฤตราษฏระ (ทุรโยธนะ) ส่งออกไป ได้ค้นหาไปทั่วหมู่บ้าน แว่นแคว้น และนครนานา ที่ใดพอจะเห็นหรือสืบรู้ร่องรอยของเหล่าปาณฑพในกาลอัชญาตวาสได้ เขาก็ตรวจตราไต่ถาม ณ ที่นั้น ๆ ครั้นภารกิจสำเร็จแล้ว จึงกลับสู่หัสดินาปุระอีกครั้ง
